Manual Therapy

A hands-on approach used to reduce pain, improve joint mobility, and restore normal movement. As part of our sports physical therapy approach, manual therapy helps
create a strong foundation so strength work and rehab progress more efficiently.

USED FOR:
Headaches and migraines · Chronic pain and stiffness · Low back pain · Neck pain · Joint pain in the shoulder, hip, knee, or elbow · Sports injuries like muscle strains or soreness · Tendonitis · Post-injury recovery · Post-surgical rehab

Dry Needling

Reduces muscle tightness, improves blood flow, and calms irritated tissues. Patients often seek dry needling in Alpharetta for lingering pain, overuse injuries, nerve-related symptoms, and tight areas that don’t
respond well to stretching alone. Dry needling is commonly paired with movement and strength work to support longer-lasting results.

USED FOR:
Headaches and migraines · Chronic pain and stiffness · Low back pain, including disc issues or herniation · Neck pain, including disc issues or herniation · Joint pain in the shoulder, hip, knee, or elbow · Sports injuries like muscle strains or soreness · Nerve pain such as sciatica ·Tendonitis · Plantar fasciitis · Post-injury recovery ·
Post-surgical rehab

Scraping (IASTM)

Scraping, also known as Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), uses a specialized tool to work through tight or restricted tissue. It’s commonly used
when muscles or connective tissue feel stiff, dense, or slow to respond. This is useful when chronic tightness or stiffness doesn’t improve with stretching or exercise alone.

USED FOR:
Chronic tightness or stiffness · Low back pain · Muscle strains · Tendonitis · Plantar fasciitis · Myofascial restrictions · Post-injury recovery · Post-surgical rehab

Joint Mobilization and Manipulation

Best used when joints feel stiff, restricted, or painful with movement. These techniques help restore range of motion and reduce discomfort, making them an important
part of sports medicine physical therapy and
return-to-activity care.

USED FOR:
Headaches and migraines · Chronic pain and stiffness · Low back pain or tightness, including disc issues or bulges · Neck pain or tightness, including disc issues or bulges · Joint stiffness in the shoulder, hip, knee, or elbow · Nerve pain such as sciatica · Post-injury recovery

Cupping Therapy

Improves how tissues move and glide. It can help reduce muscle tightness, improve mobility, and prepare the body for training or more active phases of rehab. Cupping is
often used alongside manual therapy and movement work.

USED FOR:
Muscle tightness · Tissue restrictions · Limited mobility · Soreness after training · Pain related to overuse or strain

Kinesiotaping

Provides light support and feedback during movement without restricting motion. It’s commonly used to help manage discomfort, support joints or muscles, and improve
movement awareness as patients return to sport or activity.

USED FOR:
Joint pain or stiffness · Muscle strains and minor injuries · Tendonitis · Chronic low back or neck pain · Plantar fasciitis ·

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training

BFR Training allows patients to build strength and muscle while placing less stress on joints and healing tissues.
It’s often used during performance physical therapy and rehab when traditional loading isn’t appropriate, but maintaining strength and progress is still a priority.

USED FOR:
Post-surgical rehab · Post-injury rehab · Chronic or acute joint pain
·

Prehab and Wellness Sessions

Sessions focus on movement quality, strength, and injury
risk reduction. These sessions are ideal for patients
looking for physical therapy for athletes who want to
stay healthy during training, address minor issues early,
or maintain progress after formal rehab.

USED FOR:
Reducing injury risk in sport or daily activity
· Staying strong and mobile during training
· Maintaining progress after physical therapy
· Addressing small issues before they become bigger problems
